Date Night

December 15, 2017

Whether you just started dating, about to get married, or have been married for 25 years you should still go on dates with your loved one to keep things exciting! Some people make excuses such as, dates are too expensive, or I don’t know any fun things to do for a date, or we’ve been dating for so long we don’t need to go on dates anymore. Statistics show that couples that go on dates tend to stay together longer and live happier lives together! Here’s some fun date ideas for any budget or age, so now you have no excuses not to have exciting date nights!!!

1.) Get Sweet. Who doesn’t love sweets?! Look up yummy recipes together and choose one, or even a few that you are dying to try. When you’re finished making these delicious treats, rent a movie and pop open a bottle of wine for a romantic night in with your boo.

2.) Laugh Out Loud. Grab some tickets to a comedy show nearby. Laughing is a great way to release stress because it releases endorphins or “happy hormones”. What’s a better way to bond with your other half?

3.) Sweet Escape. Research some restaurants that are an hour or so away. Check out some other fun places to visit while you’re there and rent a hotel for a night or two. It’s fun to try new places and it’s even more fun to take a little road trip and escape the real world for a little bit with your loved one

4.) The More the Merrier. Go on a double date with your friends. Having alone time with your boyfriend/husband is fun, but having others go out with you can be a fun change to the usual date nights.

5.) Get Outdoorsy. Do something outdoors and enjoy the fresh air! In the summer months you can go on a hike, to a local lake, or concert. In the colder months try going ice-skating, or to a sports game. Just remember to bundle up!

6.) Dance it out. Get your groove on and sign up for a local dance session. They’ll teach you to dance like a pro, so next time you go to a bar or club you two can take over the dance floor together!

7.) Get on a boat. Find a one-night dinner cruise close to you. Not only is it super romantic, but also it’s a great way to get alone with your lover with zero distractions. Great food, beautiful view, and no cellphone connection, what could be better?!

8.) Take it Easy. Take a spa day. Whether boys like to admit it or not they love any chance they can get to relax. So instead of giving each other massages, you both can get one done by professionals! Ahh how relaxing!
